About Timothy M. Schulte
President and Founder,
Mid-America Sports & Events Group, Inc.
Timothy M. Schulte learned more than just X's and O's while playing
football for legendary coach Bo Schembechler at the University of Michigan.
Schulte learned that success on and off the playing field is a direct
result of the preparation, hard work and dedication that an individual
puts into a chosen endeavor. While Schembechler used those ideals to
become one of the winningest coaches in Big Ten history, Schulte has
likewise found success in the marketing and event management field.
After leaving the University of Michigan as a First-Team Academic All-Big
Ten scholar athlete, he matriculated to Indiana University earning an
M.B.A in Finance in 1989. After establishing a solid academic foundation,
Tim headed off to Wall Street to work his way up the ladder at Merrill
Lynch Capital Markets as an Institutional Fixed-Income Salesman.
competing on Wall Street, a passion for sports remained in Schulte's
heart. Schulte saw that an opportunity existed in Chicago to
create impactful events that truly offered unique cause-marketing
opportunities and new business development strategies for corporate
America. This opportunity lead him to create Mid-America Sports
& Events Group, Inc. in 1991.
Once again, Schulte recognized that
preparation, hard work and dedication is the key to success. This
philosophy has been the driving force that has defined and sustained
the company over the past 10 years and keeps his list of corporate,
charity and celebrity clients growing.
Over this span, he has
orchestrated an array of events including celebrity-studded golf
events for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Players Association,
corporate travel programs for Fortune 1000 corporate clients, charity
fundraisers for many national and local causes and strategic campaigns
focusing on corporate promotions, sales and marketing.
Tim is involved with the Indiana University's Kelly MBA School
of Sports and Entertainment as a guest speaker and lecturer.
He has appeared on various panels and conferences covering the
field of Sports Marketing and Event Management. Chicago is home,
which he shares with his wife Alison, and daughters Megan (dob
11/96), Taylor (dob 7/98) and Cameron (dob 6/01).
